About Ote Hall Farm
A farm estate that never lost its roots
Ote Hall is a family run beef and arable farm which has been owned by the Godman family since the 16th Century. The family were responsible for building Great Ote Hall in 1530.
For centuries, the Hall wasn’t just a grand house — it was a working agricultural hub, with its own labour force, livestock, and woods forming a mini-settlement. Many of the ancient Oak tree’s surrounding the Hall & farm today date to the post medieval period before the farm was established.
A self-sustaining rural estate
Today Ote Hall Farm is run by mother & son team Carola & Matthew and run as a self-sustaining rural estate.
When the Farm shop opens Carola and Matthew will be unveiling the ‘Godman Foundation’ which will promote education, training and mentoring of young people, including those with disabilities, using profits from the new business.
